The Young Ones Ltd is in its 37th year of business!
We have celebrated over the years each monumental milestone with a 'Night of Light' fireworks evening for children and parents, a 'Farmyard Funday' with a mobile farm coming into the nursery, real ponies for our 'Cowboys Funday', a 'Young Ones Summer Festival' with a live band and ice-cream parlour, the list goes on!
Our team of staff have dressed up as clowns, pirates, Disney characters, Fairy tale creatures and many many more. Celebrating our birthday each year reminds the children and the parents of just how proud we are to still be running a successful, professional yet fun nursery for babies aged 9 months up to children of 5 years with a big emphasis on learning through play and creative thinking.
Welcome to The Young ones Nursery web site. In here we will try to give you a feel for our nursery and it's warm, creative atmosphere.
However the best way is to visit us and we actively encourage that.
We are one of only a handful of nurseries in the UK to be awarded an 'Outstanding' after being inspected by Ofsted in 2009.
Ofsted inspected the nursery in May 2009 and awarded the nursery with an 'outstanding' nursery status.
Ofsted commented that:
'Children are very happy, settled and confident. They are highly motivated and eager to learn due to the very stimulationg environment and the exciting and challenging activities that reflect and build on their individual needs and interests.
Children have uninterrupted time to really consolidate their learning and explore activities, and develop their imagination and natural curiousity.
Children's own ideas and views are clearly listened to, acknowledged and respected.'
There are not many nurseries in the country who achieve an 'outstanding' award from Ofsted and the following letter sent from Christine Gilbert from Her Majesty's Chief Inspector comfirms this unique status.
